The Social Welfare Foundation for Helmond and environs (SMO) provides social welfare and women's aid in Helmond and the Peel region.

SMO provides a safety net for people who

• are in or at risk of finding themselves in a crisis situation
• are or are at risk of becoming homeless
• occupy a vulnerable position in society in some other way

SMO assists an average of 2,000 clients annually.
